This morning (8.6.25), the day we’d been eagerly anticipating finally arrived. Walking the dog at 6am, we spotted it. The sod truck had arrived, loaded and ready to transform our bare yard. Soon after, a crew of sod installation pros descended on the property like master Tetris players, methodically piecing together our instant lawn with impressive precision. Roll by roll, they worked their magic, and the transformation was nothing short of spectacular.
The difference is remarkable. Where once we had patches of dirt and construction debris, we now have a carpet of green grass that makes our carefully planned plantings and mulched beds absolutely pop. The entire landscape suddenly feels cohesive and complete. This milestone feels monumental as we inch closer to the finish line. With just a handful of tasks remaining and what we hope will be a mercifully short punch list, we can almost taste the satisfaction of project completion.
Sometimes it’s the final details that make all the difference. Today, that detail was a whole bunch of square feet of perfect green sod, and honestly? It was worth every moment of anticipation.
