The outdoor shower may be our favorite innovation of this new home construction project. Having an outdoor shower on Cape Cod is not innovative. However, in so many homes on the Cape, you have to walk through the house in a towel to get from the outdoor shower to the bedrooms or the indoor bathrooms. With our outdoor shower, it is accessible from the outside OR from the powder room (half bathroom) on the first floor. So, it basically turns our half bath into a full bathroom in the summer months. And, you do not have to walk through the house in a towel after you shower. You can just dry off and change in the bathroom. Brilliant!
We think the builders may start doing this in their spec homes moving forward.
