The fireplace and vent system has been installed. They installed the vent today with the “Feels Like” temperature in single digits. Brrr. 1/4/25 No gas is yet connected, so the fireplace is not actually operational yet.
We met with the cabinet builder yesterday and solidified the layout of the bathrooms and for the kitchen. Tile shopping is next up at the end of the coming week.
Looking ahead, it should be an active few weeks. The base-coat of the asphalt driveway will likely be installed so they have a plowable parking area for all of the vehicles that will be coming and going. The plumbing will be dug out in the basement. The slab will be poured in the basement. The final windows can then be installed along with stairs to the basement. The basement bathroom can be framed once the slab is in place. The septic will be dug. A ton of dirt will be moved around too. Order of events to be determined. Stay tuned for more updates.
